The Combilift company was founded by two engineers, Robert Moffett and Martin McVicar. Between them, they had over four decades of experience in engineering when they established the business in the year 1998 in Monaghan, Ireland. In just more than 10 years, Combilift became a leader within the long handling market all over the globe, delivering machines to over 50 markets worldwide. Supported by a trusted international network of distributors which have helped expand distribution into many markets around the world and using their extensive knowledge and experience, McVicar and Moffett have made machines which had sold 10,000 units by mid 2009 and are in high demand.
Below is a summary of a few of the Combilift models.
There are a range of mast options for the C-Series Combilifts, while these equipment offer as much as nine meters and lift capacities that top out at 25,000 kilograms. Engines are available in diesel, electric or battery and LPG or gas and the C-Series Combilifts could work within 210 centimetres wide guided aisles.
Combilift Straddle Carriers offer the ability to lift heavy, oversized loads like fully loaded containers which weigh up to 35 tons. These loads can be transported all around a facility or work site and the Combilift Straddle Carrier could carry fully loaded containers where needed, whether it be from the trailer to the ground, from the ground to the trailer, or from trailer to trailer. These equipment are an efficient, cost effective solution for numerous shipping, haulage, and distribution businesses, even those kinds with low throughput levels.
The SL-Series is much different compared to other side-loaders because of its ability to drive in four directions. This multi-directional steering is available with the cab on the right or on the left. This hydrostatic, all-wheel drive forklift could benefit companies in lots of ways, one of which is to enable facilities to have aisles that are narrower. It also enables the capability to bulk or block stack by driving forward. This extremely manoeuvrable truck is usually found to be a better option as opposed to many regular sit-down sideloaders due to the various added capabilities and features.
