The S-boom telescopic booms manufactured by Genie have been outfitted with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other types of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access confined areas during construction and industrial jobs. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables offer easy, quick positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 unit comes outfitted with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This model can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were unreachable by traditional jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 model gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This specific feature enables up and over reaching tasks to be done with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms platform needs to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be raised fully simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system lessens the time required for users to descend and ascend, increasing production and efficiency.
